Paintings & Drawings

Welcome to my portfolio.

My art explores the complex dynamics of human relationships and interpersonal communication. In my paintings, I translate this into expressive, stylized faces and figures, built up from thick layers of paint where warm yellows and deep blues and earth tones set the mood. Sometimes pressed closely together, sometimes searching for contact. My charcoal drawings form the raw, monochrome counterpart to these narratives; with powerful lines and deep shadows, I peel back human interaction to its pure, vulnerable essence.

About the work

I am a visual artist based in Rotterdam, working between painting and drawing.

My paintings move between new work, abstract explorations, and other painterly studies. Across all of them, warm ochres, deep blues, and raw earth tones shape the atmosphere — whether the subject is a figure, a gesture, or a quiet moment of colour.

My drawings follow the same impulse in black and white: charcoal, mixed media, and animal studies, each one pared down to line, shadow, and the tension between what is shown and what is left unsaid.
